What patterns are you experiencing right now?

Stress can affect how we think, feel, behave and respond to everyday demands. Sometimes we notice ourselves feeling constantly "on". At other times, we may feel depleted, disconnected or unable to get going. And these experiences can overlap.

This short self-assessment is designed to help you reflect on some of these patterns and what they may mean for you right now.

Think about the past two weeks when answering the questions below. Choose the answer that best describes how often each statement has been true for you during this time. Try to think about your overall experience rather than one particularly good or difficult day.

Please note: This is a reflective educational tool, not a diagnostic or scientifically validated assessment. Your result is a starting point for reflection, not a definitive measure of your nervous system or mental health.

    About

    About Tap Into Calmness

    Understanding comes before change.

Tap Into Calmness was created by a psychologist with over 18 years of experience helping children, parents and adults understand the connection between the mind and body, and the important role of the nervous system in how we think, feel and respond.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much easier it can be to navigate stress, emotions, behaviour and relationships when we understand what is happening beneath the surface.

I’ve also experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to understand what your own body is telling you. As a mother of two, years of broken sleep and carrying too much responsibility eventually pushed me towards burnout. That experience changed the way I think about psychological wellbeing: not as something we simply need to fix, but as something we can learn to understand.

Today, Tap Into Calmness brings together psychological knowledge, nervous system education and practical tools to make complex ideas easier to understand and apply in everyday life.

The goal is simple: to help more people understand themselves, understand the people around them, and find practical ways forward.
